A Pleated Shirt with an American Trad Mix

FAIRFAX is a tie brand that, while deeply understanding the principles of dress clothing, also offers unique items. Their creations extend beyond ties to shirts as well. This time, we present two types of formal shirts from "Fitzgerald meets HITOYOSHI 1988," a label produced in collaboration with HITOYOSHI, a shirt factory in Hitoyoshi City, Kumamoto Prefecture.

The first is a garment featuring hand-folded pleats, crafted from pin oxford fabric and a regular collar, evoking an American trad sensibility. While its appearance is designed for formal settings, it imparts a relaxed atmosphere to one's attire.

This impression is achieved through subtle details. The arrangement, characterized by wide-stitch spacing and a front placket design typically found on button-down shirts, deviates from the conventional formal context.

By combining these design elements with a pleated shirt, FAIRFAX achieves a unique blend that cannot be found elsewhere.

We also wish to highlight a classic formal piece: the wing collar shirt. The twill fabric, with its smooth luster, is woven from high-density, fine-count double-yarn of extra-long staple cotton, offering both crispness and the natural texture of cotton.
