This month, FAIRFAX proposes a collection of navy and white small floral ties made from fabric by VANNERS, a venerable silk fabric manufacturer founded in 1740. In England, VANNERS is the first name that comes to mind when discussing silk textiles, and their tightly woven silk jacquard fabric is renowned not only for its beauty but also for its durability. Recently, their quality has been recognized with its use in a dress for former US First Lady Michelle Obama.
While typically the warp threads of a tie are white or black and the weft threads express the color, FAIRFAX has selected fabric for this collection where both the warp and weft threads are navy.
