Evolving Jodhpur Boots That Look Better With Age

2014 Autumn/Winter Collection "JODHPUR II"

The "JODHPUR" Jodhpur boot from John Lobb, first released in 1996, has been reborn and returns to the collection. The "JODHPUR II" features a new panel construction on the upper for a more striking design. It also reappears with irresistible details for fans, such as the addition of a new loop on the strap.

First Unveiled at London Collections

The predecessor, "JODHPUR," was a popular boot on the 8695B last, which was discontinued in 2004. Many John Lobb fans are likely to remember it.

This model required highly advanced techniques and considerable time for the lasting process (the operation of stretching the upper over the last and securing it to the sole with nails, shaping the shoe). Consequently, it was only available by special order. However, due to numerous requests, it has now reappeared as "JODHPUR II" in the 2014 Autumn/Winter collection.

The inwardly curved, slender strap imparts an elegant impression while also ensuring a secure fit and preventing slippage, as it is designed to close the ankle opening.

Another notable feature of the John Lobb Jodhpur boot is the strap that angles downwards. For the Jodhpur II, pay attention to the newly added loop that supports the strap.

The beautifully lustrous form, crafted from John Lobb's iconic museum calf, is elegantly complemented by the slender strap. On the suede versions, the loop is finished in reverse suede.
