Berluti's 10th Anniversary in Japan
Limited Edition Sale of Two Long-Selling Models, 100 Pairs Each
Berluti boasts over a century of history in Paris, originating as a bespoke shoemaker for discerning gentlemen.
The uncompromising spirit of craftsmanship, preserving specialized expertise, techniques, tradition, and comfort, has been passed down through generations of its masters.
To commemorate Berluti's 10th anniversary in Japan, two of the brand's signature, long-selling models have been released as limited editions starting March 27th.
The theme for 2009, Berluti's 10th year in Japan: "Eternity Berluti"
The eternity (universality) of Berluti is evident in the 'Alessandro' model, passed down from the founder to the current fourth-generation master Olga Berluti, and the 'Andy' model, a masterpiece created by Olga during her apprenticeship.
Berluti's creations are imbued with the brand's unique esprit, featuring Venezia leather, the patine technique, Olga Berluti's creative vision, and anecdotes of collaborations with artists. These pieces, which fuse practicality with beauty, are celebrated for elevating everyday life to an art form.
The 'Alessandro' and 'Andy' models released to celebrate Berluti's 10th anniversary in Japan are each limited to 100 pairs.
The 'patine' technique, uniquely developed by Berluti, is a proprietary coloring method. Each piece is meticulously hand-finished by artisans to achieve an antique or Renaissance painting-like patina.
The color for these limited edition products is an original patine (color) conceived specifically for this limited version.
The insoles are engraved with "Berluti Célèbre| 10ans au Japon" (meaning Berluti's 10th Anniversary in Japan) in French, and they come with special colored wooden shoe trees and shoe bags embroidered with the 10th-anniversary motif.
Due to the patine coloring technique, delivery after ordering takes approximately two weeks.

A Gift from Master Olga Berluti: "Tree of Happiness"

The "Tree of Happiness," displayed at the Berluti Aoyama store since March 27th, was created by Olga Berluti, Berluti's fourth-generation master and chief designer, in collaboration with Russian artist Alexander Raykoff.
Leather tags hang from the branches of the objet, each bearing a handwritten message. These messages are addressed from the master to the guests (customers, in Berluti's parlance), expressing heartfelt wishes for a strong and happy journey through 2009, penned with individual care.
