This Year's Model Theme: A Return to Classic John Lobb

Quietly displayed within the innermost booth at the John Lobb London Collections: Men venue was the Year Model "JOHN LOBB 2014." Press and buyers from around the world who visited the exhibition peered at it intently.

This year's Year Model is a plain cap-toe Oxford shoe on the highly sought-after last 7000. While appearing basic at first glance, closer inspection reveals the masterful use of a 3-eyelet design and three rows of stitching. The harmony of the 3-eyelets and three lines is a model unprecedented in John Lobb's history.

Furthermore, of particular note is the color, Brun Lobb, used in the 1999 Year Model shown in the photo above. This was an exceptionally popular color among the Year Models of that era, and to preserve this special hue, dedicated creams and waxes are planned to be prepared (the same will apply to Lobb Black).

The John Lobb Year Model is released simultaneously worldwide on the feast day of "Saint Crispin," the patron saint of shoemakers, leather workers, and tanners. We will introduce its beautiful form and details again before its release.
