A Film Unveiling a Story Rich in British Wit

London Collections: Men showcases new creations while respecting the British culture that serves as the origin of creativity for Britain's leading menswear brands.

John Lobb, the quintessential Northamptonshire shoemaker, has made its second appearance, upholding its long tradition with the unwavering belief of "crafting the perfect handmade shoe."

The film "Time’s The Charm," shown at the venue, depicts the daily life of a British man wearing various John Lobb shoes in different settings as he walks through London's streets. Scenes include Portobello Road Market, the bustling riverside in East London, Primrose Hill, unique art galleries, Beatles-esque fantastical scene transitions, and a fish and chips shop named "The Sole Plaice."

The film's title, "Time’s The Charm," is a play on the English proverb "Third time's the charm." It suggests the importance of time in the world of slow luxury and how time is key to John Lobb's allure. The music, "Keep In The Dark," is performed by Temples, a band hailing from Northamptonshire in the British Midlands.

This project was a collaboration between John Lobb and the production company "Not To Scale," along with comedy writers and illustrators, resulting in this unique work.

In the following installments, we will introduce the captivating shoes featured in this film.
