TOD’S Envelope Boat Shoes Unveiled at Milan Salone

A New Interpretation of TOD’S Popular Deck Shoes

“Shoes that are not too casual, not too formal. Shoes that are light, soft, and relaxing, yet functional with a touch of humor and elegance.”TOD’S and Oki Sato spent a year bringing this project to fruition.

While firmly adhering to TOD’S tradition that "Italian design is always rooted in genuine craftsmanship," they presented shoes that embody modern classics.

The completed TOD’S Envelope Boat Shoes offer a fresh take on TOD’S popular deck shoes, appearing as a novel and casual model combining suede and soft leather.

Named “Envelope” for their ability to “wrap around the wearer’s feet,” this style comes in six colors: blue, gray, brown, light brown, black, and green. Each pair features two matte silver stud closures on the laces.

Furthermore, these Envelope shoes incorporate anti-rust rings, non-slip side soles, soft suede, and water-resistant leather. While equipped with the technical features characteristic of sailing shoes suitable for boat racing, their casual yet chic design also makes them ideal for daily wear.

This is an exciting collaboration where Oki Sato’s 21st-century interpretation is added to TOD’S proud “Made in Italy” tradition, which uses leathers selected from the world's finest tanneries and involves manual production throughout the entire process in Italy.
