John Lobb's "BY REQUEST" is a made-to-order system for ready-to-wear shoes available year-round. During the annual "BY REQUEST Fair," customers can customize current models to their preferred specifications, and even reorder some discontinued past models.

Orders can be placed by selecting from a predetermined range of styles, materials, colors, soles, sizes (5-12), and widths (D-EE) to create a personalized combination.



Model: "JERMYN II"
(Color: Sea Green, Material: Suede)
"This order comes from a customer who already owns several pairs of John Lobb shoes. They chose a Sea Green suede, a color not available in our ready-to-wear collection, for their first BY REQUEST order. They were so pleased that they also ordered a matching belt," says a shop staff member. Ordered at the John Lobb Marunouchi store.



Model: "YORK"
(Color: Deep Red, Material: Lord Calf)
The customer favors John Lobb's bespoke services. For this BY REQUEST order, they chose a model to wear with casual trousers, such as chinos. Regarding the finished product, they commented, "I like the shape." Ordered at the John Lobb Marunouchi store.


Model: "CAVENDISH"
(Color: Paris Brown, Material: Museum Calf)
The customer is a man in his 30s working in the automotive industry. This is his second BY REQUEST order; his favorite John Lobb models are "CHAPEL" and "PORTMAN." He commented on this order, "I wanted something different from what others have." Ordered at the John Lobb Nagoya Matsuzakaya store.



Model: "SADDLE"
(Color: Ardilla, Material: Buffalo)
The customer is a man in his 40s working in automotive design and development. This is his sixth BY REQUEST order. His favorite John Lobb model is "JODHPUR." He selected the "Ardilla" color, a bright shade that livens up winter attire, fulfilling his request for "something with a new, bright feel." Ordered at the John Lobb Nagoya Matsuzakaya store.



Model: "HAMPSTEAD"
(Color: Pari Brown, Material: Suede/Calf)
"The customer ordered the 'HAMPSTEAD' 2010 limited edition model, which they had wanted for some time, through BY REQUEST. The cap's perforations are elegant, and the combination of suede and calf leather creates a modern impression. The four eyelets are also a fresh touch," says a shop staff member. Special Offers for the 2014 "BY REQUEST" Fair

This year's "BY REQUEST" fair will feature samples of the loafer "LOPEZ" specially ordered by Japan (in five suede colors with natural stitching) available in stores.

Furthermore, for orders of John Lobb's six iconic classic models – "BECKETTS," "CITY II," "PHILIP II," "WILLIAM," "LOPEZ," and "CHAPEL" – the lining and insoles can be specified in a vibrant red, with grey stitching. The insoles will feature the "By Request" logo.

Sizes: Available in sizes (5-12) and widths (D-EE), depending on the model.
Price: Normally, a 30% surcharge applies to the retail price, but the surcharge is waived during the fair period.
Delivery: Approximately 6-8 months.
