Jack Spade Kobe Opens March 21

March and April Packed with Campaigns

JACK SPADE, a brand that offers a total look from bags to accessories and apparel, approaches men's items with the philosophy that they should be reliable, thoughtfully designed, and practical. On March 21st (Friday, holiday), a standalone store, Jack Spade Kobe, will open in Kobe, Hyogo Prefecture.

Briefcase Fair and Exclusive Novelty Gifts Planned

The interior of Jack Spade Kobe, the first standalone store in the Kansai region, follows the design of the former Jack Spade store on Green Street in New York. Artworks such as paintings, blackboards, and pegboard displays are featured, and the bookshelves at the back of the store offer a selection of books that express the library concept.

To commemorate this opening, customers who purchase Jack Spade items for ¥10,000 or more (excluding tax) will receive a limited-edition original T-shirt. Concurrently, a "Briefcase Fair" will also be held.

Jack Spade's signature briefcases are characterized not only by their functionality but also by their timeless design, suitable for both on and off-duty wear, and their beautiful aging process over time. They are available in a wide range of materials, including wax-wear fabric that gains luster and character with use, high-density nylon offering both durability and water repellency, and high-quality leather. The lineup is also appealing for its versatility to suit various needs.

During the "Briefcase Fair," all briefcases will be available at a 10% discount. This event starts on Friday, March 14th, and will run until Sunday, April 13th, at Jack Spade stores in Minami, Kobe, Hankyu Men's Tokyo, and online.

Spring/Summer 2014 Short Film Released

For New Yorkers caught up in the daily grind, seaside towns on the outskirts of the city, such as Spring (where painter Jackson Pollock had his studio) and Shelter Island (the setting for John Steinbeck's 'Travels with Charley'), offer a place to relax and recharge, and to focus on new projects in a different environment.

The Jack Spade Spring/Summer 2014 collection is inspired by this transitional lifestyle, moving between the bustling metropolis and the relaxed seaside towns. This season, a collaboration has been realized with pro surfer and filmmaker Mikey Detemple.

Mikey Detemple, who lives in Brooklyn, NY, has a studio in Montauk, Long Island. The collaboration came about because his lifestyle perfectly matched the theme of Jack Spade's collection this season. A style book featuring Mikey as the model, as well as a short film, have been produced. Starting at the end of March, a DVD of this film will be presented as a gift (limited quantity) to customers who purchase ¥5,000 or more (excluding tax) at Jack Spade stores in Minami, Kobe, and online.
