A carefree, intellectual mood of the 70s expressed through refined materials, colors, and details
Regarding the Spring/Summer 2014 men's collection, Design Director Angelo Ruggeri states, "We've captured the carefree, intellectual mood of that era. This is achieved by skillfully balancing modern sharpness with classic style, conveyed through refined materials, colors, and details."
Loafers in black and gold calfskin, and sandals with a distinctive "Z" shape at the top, harmonize with the free-spirited, inherently elegant, luxurious, and captivating shapes and materials of the time, completing and enriching this collection.
Luxurious crocodile leather is used for casual styles like sneakers and loafers, while more original giraffe and leopard prints adorn shoes suitable for any occasion.
The boat shoes are inspired by the works of Gabriella Crespi, an artist who was also a celebrity in the 70s art scene. Furthermore, alternating opaque and glossy effects, along with large, graphic fern motifs and nappa leather with metal trim, create a stylish and new finish.
The bold color palette, a key element of the collection, also serves to emphasize the shapes and the remarkably light, flexible soles.
