Featuring and Exhibiting the Full ayame Collection from July 4th (Thursday) to 28th (Sunday)
"ayame (Ayame)" is a noteworthy eyewear brand that blends the quality and tradition of Japanese craftsmanship with a contemporary fashion sense, all based on classic designs. Four years since its launch, this collaboration with Continuer marks a return to the brand's origins, expressing its current standing with an authentic image. Both parties share the concept of "lifestyle," resulting in bespoke models that are timeless pieces, realized in a down-to-earth manner. Furthermore, "ayame × Continuer" has also produced playful visual imagery.
The new releases are based on classic, timeless forms, modernized in the signature ayame style: the brand's representative models, "NEWOLD" and "ZEN."
For these bespoke items, the high-quality design characteristic of ayame remains, enhanced with natural, wood-tone colors that better integrate into the wearer's lifestyle. The material used for both models is m49 from the Italian manufacturer Mazzucchelli. This material, also known as "bioplastic," is the world's first biodegradable plastic, an eco-friendly material attracting attention.
The optical model "NEWOLD" presents a natural impression with its calm, dark wood-tone color. Its design, a blend of classic Boston and Wellington shapes, feels subtly new. The gently rounded cutting and lens shape ensure a comfortable fit, and the mid-size dimensions make them suitable for both men and women.
The sunglasses model "ZEN" features a simple, easy-to-wear classic Wellington shape. Unlike the glossy "NEWOLD" optical model, the dark wood-tone color is given a matte finish for a more woody, limited-edition look. The front's inclination angle and subtly sharp cutting create a refined sharpness.
To coincide with the release of these bespoke models, Continuer will host the "ayame Special Feature" from July 4th (Thursday) to 28th (Sunday), a collaboration that perfectly unites the worlds of ayame and Continuer.
