Yusuke“I’ve always loved coats, and lately, I’ve made it a habit to wear a coat instead of a jacket. It’s more of an extension of my fall and winter wardrobe, simply switching to lighter versions, but I particularly favor checked patterns, British-style trench coats, and maxi lengths. In spring and summer, the materials are lighter, so the way they billow in the wind as you walk is wonderful.
My image is inspired by 1980s casual spring coat styling. It’s the mood of Paul Weller during the Style Council era, the kind of coat he wore in the album 'Café Bleu' – that feeling has reignited within me.
I want to wear them lightly, in a way that feels fresh and unique to April, not layered over a suit, but rather thrown over jeans and a T-shirt, or simply paired with a shirt.”
