vol.40 "Sneaker Mood" JANTJE_ONTEMBAAR × asics
With the sneaker boom continuing this spring, a fashionable breeze seems to be blowing through sports brands' sneakers. The key points are their volume and chunky soles. In other words, a slightly unfashionable look is in vogue. Why not find your favorite that suits your style and try out a fresh pair of kicks!?

JANTJE_ONTEMBAAR × asics
YusukeThe Spring/Summer 2019 collection for 'JANTJE_ONTEMBAAR,' which I direct with Shingo Katori, has launched. This time, as a first initiative, we are releasing sneakers in collaboration with asics tiger.
The base model is a basketball shoe called 'GEL-PTG,' featuring a thick-soled, low-cut design. It's also known as a model based on the 'FABRE POINTGETTER' released in 1983, and it's a staple sneaker for lifestyle wear.
For this collaboration, two of Shingo Katori's artworks, 'Flower Magic' and 'Circus Punch,' are printed on the uppers. Including a half-and-half combination of these two artworks (= 'LIMITED'), a total of three models are available. Details abound, such as the big logo on the tongue, the same pattern print on the insoles, and key colors on parts of the white sole. I'm thinking of wearing the combined version.
'Flower Magic,' 'Circus Punch' ¥15,000 each; 'LIMITED' ¥20,000 (JANTJE_ONTEMBAAR / JANTJE_ONTEMBAAR 03-6812-7106)
