Both acquired the "Louis Vuitton" × "Supreme" collaboration items

Yuma Tomoki, Editorial Demon King (hereinafter, Yuma)It's been a while since your last appearance.Last time was the archive series, butthis time we're showing off what we bought this season.

Tsuyoshi Noguchi (hereinafter, Noguchi)Pleased to be here. First off, this must be it.

04

YumaOh! Here it is, Louis Vuitton x Supreme! You bought this, didn't you?

NoguchiAs a collector's item, I felt I had to get it.

YumaThis is amazing.

NoguchiIt's almost laughable.

YumaNo, really, it's incredible when you try it on.

NoguchiI wouldn't wear it myself... (puts it on while saying this)

YumaNo, no, no, that's terrifying (laughs).

NoguchiI look like a thug from Osaka, seriously (laughs).

04

YumaIncredible. You really went for it. But the pop-up was chaos, wasn't it? I go to a chiropractor on Aoyama Dori, and I completely forgot it was the release day for this Supreme collaboration. I had an 8 AM appointment, so I drove there around 7:30 AM, and there was already a huge line. The parking lot, usually empty, was full, and I was like, 'What on earth is going on?!' at first.

NoguchiUh-huh (laughs).

YumaI had no choice but to go to my office's parking lot, park the car, and walk to Aoyama Dori, only to find it still swarming with people.

NoguchiAmazing.

YumaI wondered what the line was for, and when I asked security, they said, 'It's Vuitton.' Ah, I see, but what about Vuitton? I thought for a second, but there's no point in grilling security... and then I realized, ah, it's Supreme. The next day, I had to go to the chiropractor at the same time, and when I went, there were people lined up again, the exact same situation. When I looked closely, the front of the line was right in front of my office (laughs).

NoguchiHahaha. They were holding the pop-up there. And, those people were lining up to get numbered tickets, right?

YumaWhen I left the chiropractor's around 10 AM, there was no one left. The store itself seemed to open around noon, and apparently, quite a few people who came directly without knowing had arrived.

NoguchiUh-huh. I see. Even though they couldn't get in.

YumaSecurity looked like they were having a tough time.

NoguchiIt must be tough, dealing with that.

YumaBecause, just looking from the chiropractor's, I counted about 2,500 people. They said over 4,000 people were announced, right? But only about 100 people could actually get into the store?

NoguchiThat's right. I heard they let 450 people in on the final day, though.

04

YumaSupreme is amazing. That said, I bought gloves too. So, what else did you buy?

NoguchiAlso, Hanro underwear.

04

04

YumaUnderwear, right? Made in England?

NoguchiNo, Switzerland.

YumaAh, right. Hanro, isn't that a fabric company?

NoguchiThat's right.

04

YumaThey're smooth and nice, aren't they?

NoguchiThey are. We're getting older now, aren't we? Disposable ones like American Apparel are fine, but I felt it was time for something else.

YumaSo, after trying various options, you settled on these.

NoguchiYes. And I bought them in bulk. Quite a lot... a little over 20 pairs. The payment was around 300,000 yen (laughs).

Yuma(Laughs)

NoguchiWhoa! That's expensive! (laughs).

YumaThey are quite pricey, aren't they?

NoguchiThinking about it annually, it's not that much... I told myself (laughs).

YumaI also bought a whole box of Dolce & Gabbana underwear once and paid about the same.

NoguchiRight? That's how it is.

YumaThere are actually quite a lot of middle-aged men who want to wear proper underwear.

NoguchiBut these cost 75 euros each! Isn't that expensive?

YumaWell, women's underwear can be quite expensive. What about those boots?

NoguchiThese are Nonnative boots. And these are the Supreme T-shirts I always buy.

04

04

04

YumaReally? You just buy the T-shirts because you like them?

NoguchiFor many years now.

YumaIs it because the sizing fits you well?

NoguchiYes. Not too tight, not too loose.

YumaJust right, then. What size is that?

NoguchiL.

YumaDo you buy them in Japan?

NoguchiYes. They're sent to me. So, what did you buy?

YumaI bought some in Paris.

NoguchiI heard you bought a lot at Charvet.

04

04

YumaYes. I went to buy slippers, but... I also bought a silk robe, and got carried away, then bought a cashmere robe too.

Noguchi(Laughs) Nice, pinstripe.

YumaWhen am I ever going to wear that?

NoguchiBut you can wear it normally, can't you?

YumaThat's what I thought. Maybe I can wear it as a coat.

NoguchiSo, how much are these slippers?

YumaHmm... I didn't check properly. I bought two colors, orange and this one.

NoguchiYou bought two pairs (laughs)? That's stylish, as expected.

YumaI wanted something flashy, and there were lemon yellow slippers displayed in the window outside, which I liked. They said they'd bring me a new pair, and while I was waiting, I thought the orange ones were nice too. In the end, they told me the lemon yellow ones were only for women and showed me these. I thought these were stylish too, so I ended up buying both.

NoguchiAmazing (laughs).

YumaThese shoes are Gucci. While I was there, I also bought a corsage. And this turtleneck is from a Balenciaga store in Aoyama.

NoguchiYou have something similar from Dolce & Gabbana, don't you? Even if it's not Balenciaga! Right?

YumaI bought it anyway. I was like, 'Huh?' while doing so (laughs). I wanted something from Balenciaga. But when I went to the store, they didn't have what I wanted.

NoguchiI see. By the way, do you wear the slippers for location shoots or at home?

YumaFor location shoots or in hotel rooms. I bring flip-flops when I fly, but I use those on the plane and wear slippers in the room.

NoguchiSpeaking of which, doesn't John Lobb make slippers?

YumaI wonder.

NoguchiThe slippers they give you while waiting in the JAL lounge, they're not John Lobb, are they? Do they not make them?

YumaI think they do. I wonder. They have Church's, Gucci, and Prada, so it would be nice if they had John Lobb too.

NoguchiRight. The case for those Charvet slippers is nice.

YumaIt is. It's nice when they come in cases like this.

NoguchiActually, many brands aren't that thoughtful.

YumaIt's a bit disappointing. Some come in cases that look like they're for middle-aged men, with leather zips.

NoguchiThat's no good.

YumaWhat shops do you go to in Paris?

NoguchiI might pop into Balenciaga or Colette, or go to places in the Republic that carry Raf Simons or Vetements. Lately, I haven't been able to shop much during the collections, though I want to. I always buy socks and underwear at Bon Marché too. For stocking up.

YumaBon Marché is great.

NoguchiIt's calming (laughs). Surprisingly, they often have clothes left. I sometimes look at the women's section too, from top to bottom. And their food hall is amazing (laughs).

YumaIt looks delicious (laughs).

NoguchiNo, no. If I buy too much, I won't be able to eat it all (laughs). I could just have dinner from Bon Marché.

YumaWhere did you eat during your extended stay this time?

NoguchiWhere did I go... Do you know about the Japanese restaurant that opened near Palais Royal, on the same street as Margiela?

YumaI haven't been there.

NoguchiIt's called Enya. They specialize in chicken dishes, with champagne and sake as their main drinks. It's not too crowded. Apparently, a chef who worked in Kyoto came to Paris and opened it. It's famous for being delicious even in Paris, with a 'We compete with our chicken!' kind of vibe. The chicken and egg bowl for lunch was also delicious.

YumaAh, I think I've heard of that. Enya, right?

NoguchiAlso, there's a Thai restaurant called Bamboo.

YumaIs that the one that's been around for a while?

NoguchiThat's Chiang Mai. Bamboo is a bit more modern and stylish.

YumaOh.

NoguchiAnd I was taken to a French restaurant called Passage, which was delicious.

YumaPassage, right? It's famous.

NoguchiAn Australian runs it. The Argentinian steakhouse Biondi was also good.

YumaBiondi, is that the one in the Republic area?

NoguchiYeah, near the circus tent. Where else did I go... Oh, Cornichon, another French place, was also delicious.

YumaYou've been there!

NoguchiAlso, Hugo Desnoyer in the 16th arrondissement. It's a butcher shop, but they have a table and chairs in a corner where you can eat steak. You choose your meat and they grill it for you. I always go there during the women's collections.

YumaBeing able to choose is nice. Hmm, hmm. Online reviews say it's comfortable and casual. Looks delicious.

NoguchiIt is delicious. You can choose the amount of meat too. They also have deli items.

YumaThat's nice.

NoguchiThe Peninsula, where we went together, was also delicious.

04

04

YumaThe wine selection was good too.

NoguchiRight.

YumaI also went to the Chinese restaurant at the Peninsula, but the best part was the air conditioning – it was perfect.

NoguchiIt was incredibly hot this time.

YumaBeing seated on the terrace would have been the worst. It was 38 degrees Celsius. I was delirious every day...

NoguchiI was staying in Paris for a shoot this time, and after the men's collections, it cooled down for a moment. But as soon as the Haute Couture collections started, it got incredibly hot again. Awful. So, at the end, I went to Karyu. It's a Japanese restaurant. The air conditioning was properly working, and I finally felt like eating (laughs).

YumaYou just feel sluggish. Well then, next time, I'd like to ask you to discuss the recent men's collections.

NoguchiI look forward to it.

To be continued in Part 2...
