Collaboration Denim by Stylist Tomoki Sukezane is Born

G-Star RAW, which has collaborated with various creators such as world-renowned industrial designer Marc Newson and British artist Ryan Gander, as well as actress Liv Tyler, has now partnered with Tomoki Sukezane, Japan's leading top stylist. The highly anticipated special model, marking the brand's first collaboration with a Japanese partner, will be available for pre-order starting September 6th (Thursday) at "G-Star RAW Store Shibuya."

Tomoki Sukezane, a stylist who is also a denim enthusiast, states, "I've been involved with jeans for over 40 years, and I consider them an indispensable, vital item in my wardrobe. If you consider a year, I probably wear jeans more than 100 days out of 365." He and G-Star RAW have now teamed up to create special denim. The result is a masterpiece born from his visit to the brand's atelier in Amsterdam and his collaboration with the design team.

Based on the brand's popular "NEW RADAR" model, the design has been updated with the stylist's unique perspective, capturing the zeitgeist. The relaxed, tapered silhouette of these loose-fitting jeans is cropped for a neat, compact, unisex finish. Accents like the logo print and tag are intentionally placed on the inside, and all stitching and patches are embroidered with grey thread, creating a simple, understated, and chic look. The back style, which retains the "NEW RADAR" features such as the low-set yoke and large pockets, is adorned with an embroidered replica of the collaboration denim's signature.

Furthermore, for this collaboration, a special video has been released, offering a rare glimpse into the atelier and the behind-the-scenes production process. Mr. Sukezane himself discusses the design details.

The collaboration denim will be available for pre-order sequentially starting September 6th (Thursday) at "G-Star RAW Store Shibuya," followed by the online shop "ZOZOTOWN" on September 13th (Thursday). From the end of September, it will be sold in 11 G-Star RAW stores nationwide and at select shops "nano・universe." The denim will then travel overseas to renowned shops including the venerable London department store "Selfridges" and the Parisian select shop "Lafayette." Although initially a Japan-exclusive project, the collaboration with Mr. Sukezane, whose work garners global attention in the fashion scene as a representative Japanese stylist, led to a surge of requests from various countries. This has resulted in an impromptu global rollout. Don't miss this highly anticipated collaboration that is capturing worldwide attention.
