“12”home made New Collections

New arrivals are here from "12"home made (pronounced "twelve homemade"), one of Japan's few handmade eyewear brands, led by Jun Tsuchiya. Approximately one year has passed since the last release. A new collection fair will be held at Continuer in Ebisu from August 16 (Thursday).

Regular Collection Also Displayed and Sold Alongside New Arrivals

"12"home made is produced entirely by Jun Tsuchiya himself, with a monthly output limited to around 50 pairs. Through more than 20 meticulous steps, the polished frames achieve a "deep luster" and "soft expression" unique to handmade craftsmanship, imbued with the warmth of artisanal work.

Furthermore, the curved temple ends, impossible to create with machines, and the temples, adjusted for thickness to provide a gentle flex, ensure a high level of comfort and fit. The temples are marked with "Made by one craftsman" as proof of their singular creation, bearing the maker's intent.

The new collection comprises five models. Among the classical designs are a Boston type (Mod.COBBY) that evokes intellect, and a thick square type (Mod.TONY) reminiscent of the 1950s. Three new additions include basic oval and square shapes not previously seen in the collection. These feature a "rivet hinge," a traditional mechanism used for the hinge connecting the front and temples, as a special specification exclusive to Continuer.

During the fair period, the regular collection from "12"home made, which is not normally carried by Continuer, will also be on display and available for purchase. Attention is drawn to the rich lineup, with a focus on the texture achieved through meticulous handwork in every detail.
