FUJITO 2015-16 Autumn/Winter Collection
A New Collection That Brings Joy Through Wearing
"This season, the hazy, dark world of the film 'The Pianist' served as the inspiration for this collection," says designer Go Fujito. FUJITO's Autumn/Winter collection, which excels at balancing comfort and functionality, is now available.

Beautiful Silhouettes, Comfortable Fabrics
──What was the theme/concept for the 2015-16 Autumn/Winter collection?
The colors and atmosphere were inspired by the film 'The Pianist.' Our current world also feels unstable, so I wanted to create a collection that offers a sense of joy through wearing it.
This season, I've focused on items that can be worn with a relaxed feel. For example, while they have belt loops, many pants are designed to be tied with a drawstring. The key is to achieve a beautiful silhouette and a substantial fabric feel, while ensuring comfort when worn.
──What were your priorities and what should people look out for in this season's lookbook shoot?
We're proposing several monotone outfits. Please pay attention to how the same navy color appears different depending on the texture of the materials.
──What are the differences in styling, silhouette, and color compared to last year's Autumn/Winter collection?
I've reduced the number of colors compared to previous collections. I believe this makes for a stronger, more impactful collection.
──What is the key look (outfit) for this season?
The outfit in the photo at the bottom, entirely in beige. By combining different beige materials, it avoids monotony and creates a look that grows on you.
The Crew Neck Rib Knit is a Key Item
──What are the key items and key colors?
The crew neck rib knit is the key item this season. The key color is beige. Additionally, the indigo mud-dyed items from Amami Oshima, which we've released for several seasons, hold an important place in the collection as a uniquely Japanese color.
──What "materials" did you focus on this season?
For a relaxed feel, we've used lightweight flannel. The matching tracksuit in the same material expresses this particularly well.
──Please describe "this season's mood" in one word.
Restrained Style
──What inspires the brand's (designer's) creativity?
I feel a sense of stagnation spreading in society in certain aspects. Creativity that breaks through that.
