J.M. Weston, the esteemed French shoemaker, celebrates its 120th anniversary with the launch of the "Country Club" collection. This limited edition line revisits the brand's foundational era, reinterpreting its most beloved models through a contemporary lens.
Each model in this collection features a specially designed insole. Against a deep bronze-green backdrop, a modern interpretation of the brand's name logo, created to commemorate the 120th anniversary, emerges.

A Masterpiece Blending 1930s British Style with Modern Sensibility
The "Country Club" collection comprises three distinct models: a moccasin, a Richelieu, and lace-up ankle boots. They reflect the British trend of the 1930s, where "chic sportswear elements were incorporated to dress down formal attire," a style that significantly influenced Parisian dandies of the era.
The color palette pays homage to the hunting parties hosted by fashionable Parisians who favored the outdoors. Two autumnal hues are presented: bronze green, evoking a walk in the woods, and Etrusco brown, a shade with a long history within J.M. Weston's footwear. The reddish undertones of Etrusco brown also recall the rustic countryside.
The new "Mocassin," a signature J.M. Weston style, is crafted from exceptionally fine French calfskin. It merges the warmth of natural materials with a sophisticated design, exuding an urban charm.
A distinctive buckle strap and apron are accented by Etrusco box calf, adding a unique touch.
The "Richelieu" features Etrusco box calf, emblematic of J.M. Weston's leathers, topped with quarters crafted from robust suede. This refined construction, reminiscent of the "aprons" that covered men's shoes in the 1930s, is enhanced by delicate, swan-neck stitching.
The collar and lacing area are trimmed with British cotton grosgrain, mirroring details found in apparel. This creates a striking contrast between the firm, glossy front of the box calf and the supple, matte texture of the suede rear.
The "Lace-up Ankle Boot" utilizes suede, a material J.M. Weston favors and trusts. In contrast to the Richelieu, the toe cap envelops the upper, a design emphasized by swan-neck stitching.
Details such as the lacing area and collar, edged with British grosgrain, evoke the spirit of 1930s England. The ends of the laces are finished with pastilles (semi-circular leather pieces), lending a further touch of refinement.
