"CANTON", born in 1963 as Japan's first authentic domestically produced jeans, disappeared in '68. After nearly half a century, it has been revived. Toyoshima resurrected the brand in 2008 as the new "Canton Overalls", bringing together Japan's superior craftsmanship and tracing back to the 19th century, when the origins of jeans are said to have emerged, to create "Japanese Jeans" for a new era.
