This winter, JOURNAL STANDARD introduces another exclusive item. The stylish, all-black shell jacket is crafted from Ventile, an ultra-high-density 100% cotton fabric offering both water resistance and breathability. The seams are sealed with tape to prevent water ingress. Ventile was originally adopted by the British Royal Air Force during World War II for its exceptional water resistance. This unique, ancient-yet-modern material possesses a distinct crispness, offering a different texture compared to synthetic shell fabrics.

Also noteworthy is the jacket utilizing DESCENTE ALLTERRAIN's signature Mizusawa Down, a product of DESCENTE's renowned expertise. Produced in a factory in the former city of Mizusawa, Iwate Prefecture, these down jackets feature heat-bonded down packs instead of stitching, overcoming the vulnerability of down to water. This construction ensures comfort even in rain or snow. Further details, such as the hood fitting system and the dual-row front zipper, showcase meticulous Japanese craftsmanship.
