The Annual Special Order Fair is Underway

GITMAN BROS.

Founded in 1978 in Pennsylvania, USA, GITMAN BROS. is a traditional shirt manufacturer. They continue to produce high-quality garments with a commitment to American manufacturing, a testament to their reliability underscored by their work producing shirts for THOM BROWNE. Their Oxford shirts, in particular, are highly sought after and have been carried by select shops in Japan since the brand's inception.

The special order fair for this popular shirt maker will be held at JOURNAL STANDARD Omotesando from October 27th (Monday) to November 3rd (Monday).

The available items include men's and women's long-sleeved shirts from the collaborative line between JOURNAL STANDARD and GITMAN BROS., now in its sixth season. Additionally, you can order ties and women's bow ties in your choice of fabric.

A remarkable 55 fabric samples will be on display. Alongside classic stripes and checks, the selection features a diverse array of materials rarely seen in shirtmaking, including wool, nylon, and Japanese patterns.

Ordering is simple. Choose your preferred fabric, then select your shirt size. Finally, pick one of three collar styles: regular, round, or button-down. Your unique shirt will then be created. Completion and pickup are scheduled for late January 2015.

The reference prices are approximately ¥21,000–¥23,000 for shirts and ¥9,800–¥12,000 for ties. Furthermore, orders will receive a limited-edition novelty handkerchief inspired by Halloween, on a first-come, first-served basis.

Moreover, on October 31st (Friday), Chris, the director, will visit JOURNAL STANDARD Omotesando for a celebratory party open to all. This presents an ideal opportunity to consult with him and finalize your ideal design before placing your order.
