The accompanying video, conveying their concept of “making what we want,” showcases the team’s lifestyle. Amidst a relaxed atmosphere, their stoic dedication to craftsmanship offers hints for living a contemporary life on one’s own terms.

Founded in 2004 as a small project by design director Jason Gregory, who is also an architect, MAKR has consistently released timeless products such as hand-stitched custom orders, limited-edition wallets, and camera bags. Not only are all products made in the USA, but there is also a strong commitment to American-sourced materials, including high-quality leather from Horween.

Products crafted by fusing traditional artisanal techniques with modern advanced technology gained traction through word-of-mouth among users, leading to its formal incorporation in 2007. Today, the lineup is gradually expanding beyond bags and leather goods to include interior items like hooks and stools.

The collection, which distills traditional American craftsmanship into simple, universal designs, can be cherished for a long time alongside JOURNAL STANDARD's apparel as everyday essentials.
