On Wednesday, May 13th, the Cannes Film Festival, one of the world's three major film festivals, kicked off in Cannes, France, drawing actors, directors, film industry professionals, and celebrities from around the globe.

Opening Ceremony Gathers Stars

This year marks the 68th Cannes Film Festival, with a distinguished jury including the Coen brothers, Sienna Miller, and Jake Gyllenhaal. Japanese director Hirokazu Kore-eda's "Our Little Sister" was nominated in the competition section, and its stars Haruka Ayase and Masami Nagasawa graced the Cannes red carpet. Other Japanese films are also being showcased, and anticipation is high for the award announcements on Thursday, May 24th. The opening ceremony saw appearances from numerous guests, including actresses Julianne Moore and Naomi Watts, and supermodels Karlie Kloss and Doutzen Kroes.
