BRAND HISTORY
Gucci began in 1921 when founder Guccio Gucci opened a workshop and shop specializing in leather goods in Florence, Italy. Its refined sensibility, aesthetic, and the skillful craftsmanship of Tuscan artisans were supported by European aristocracy and celebrities, leading to its growth as a brand that captivated sophisticated clientele.
Among its creations, Gucci's four iconic symbols—the Bamboo, Horsebit, Web, and GG logo—are beloved by celebrities worldwide and continue to be used in various items today.
In 2006, Frida Giannini was appointed Creative Director overseeing the entire Gucci brand. Under her direction, Gucci has returned to its true roots, infusing its icons with new life and a contemporary edge.
Gucci offers products such as leather goods, shoes, apparel, silk products, watches, and jewelry, all adhering to uncompromising craftsmanship, exceptional quality, and a commitment to "Made in Italy."
