2009 Autumn Winter Traditional Weatherwear & TO KI TO

Traditional Weatherwear & TO KI TO

Urban Weatherwear

A joint project, “Traditional Weatherwear & TO KI TO,” with TO KI TO, a brand that proposes adult style.
Its concept is “urban weatherwear.” This is an endeavor to create clothing that offers protection from wind and rain with lightness, while simultaneously evoking a sense of modern classicism.

Tokihito Yoshida, the designer of TO KI TO, speaks about the collection:
“I had never consciously designed or manufactured clothing with weatherwear in mind before, so this project felt incredibly fresh. It’s a collection that has the functionality of urban attire with a light feel, yet hints at tailoring.”

“I find a certain masculine allure in the way a man looks from behind when wearing tailored clothing. I have long been drawn to British style, so I am delighted to be able to collaborate with Traditional Weatherwear, a sub-line of Mackintosh.”
