The 11th installment: COUNTDOWN Party 2008 at Le Baron de Paris.
The 11th "Le Baron de Paris" COUNTDOWN Party 2008
Happy New Year!
How did you all spend your holidays?
Lately, I've been DJing at a lounge club in Aoyama called "Le Baron de Paris" (http://www.lebaron.jp/), which many of you may know. It's a monthly DJ event titled "MELODY," where I invite friends I'm close with or who have supported me.

On December 31st, I DJed the countdown party. After watching martial arts and eating toshikoshi soba at a soba restaurant near my home called "Rian," I headed out to DJ.

I've been DJing for a long time; it's how I recharge.
I communicate through DJing.
It was wonderful to welcome the New Year with good friends and celebrate together in 2008.
Many people around me are passionate about music, and I've maintained friendships of about 20 years with people I met through music. Most of my friends are people I connected with through music. It's incredibly enjoyable to meet people from new genres and exchange ideas through track selection.
The main branch of "Le Baron de Paris" is apparently in Paris.
They host parties almost every day, inviting various DJs and creators from around the world.
The attendees come from all sorts of backgrounds, transcending racial and genre boundaries.

What's fascinating about "Le Baron de Paris" is that they put thought into the music selection, not just making people dance.
I play a mix, primarily HOUSE, but also REGGAE, DUB, SOUL, GARAGE, ROCK, and all other genres.
"Le Baron de Paris" has an excellent staff that always prioritizes the guest experience. And they're all stylish. I'm grateful to each of them. Thank you always.
Although I started DJing as a hobby, it's become a 15-year passion that I continue to pursue.
In the past, I used to organize events in Fukuoka and even worked on radio music selection, hosting DJ events about five times a month.
At that time, there was a club in Hakata called "Balnacrossing" that invited DJs from Tokyo and overseas.
It was a club created by an Italian architect named Alfredo Arribas, featuring a great sound system. The concept was a glass-enclosed dance floor where people danced in aquariums.
The events I held back then, along with parties featuring artists like Francois Kevorkian and Danny Tenaglia from NY, created a fantastic atmosphere.

What's enjoyable about DJing is when the people on the dance floor and the DJ become one through the music.
The most enjoyable moments are when there's a connection through sound, trust is built, and a great atmosphere is created.
If you have the time, please come and visit "Le Baron de Paris."
And for the New Year, I visited Meiji Jingu shrine at sunrise.
