Introducing the Music Unit FLAVOR!

We thought it would be great to create something interesting with friends we hang out with regularly,
and the unit FLAVOR was born from casual conversations.

It all started when member TEP asked, "Couldn't we do something interesting?"

From there, various friends gathered, and the project moved forward.
The members include myself, JUNPEI (GRAVIS), DEKAJUN (RESONATE),
TEP (RESONATE), and SAND (SAND GRAPHICS), bringing together people from diverse fields.

DEKAJUN decided on the unit's name, and everyone has their own role.
The acoustic live performance by OHASHI君 (OHASHI TRIO) was exceptional, offering a quality that couldn't be experienced at typical club events.

The party was packed with various elements, including a lively DJ set by ICHIRO君 and a collaborative DANCE SHOWCASE by RESONATE. Special "FLAVOR" T-shirts produced by RESONATE were also available that day.

DJ Journeys for Recharge

My profession is shoe design, but I've been DJing for about 15 years now.
Before I got into shoe design, I used to organize events in my hometown of Fukuoka, inviting various DJs from overseas.
Whenever the mood struck, I'd spend a week traveling to seven different locations across Japan to DJ with a friend, without any days off.
That was already a journey in itself.

I enjoyed meeting different people in each place, visiting record stores, trying local specialties, and browsing vintage shops.
It's truly recharging. Although, I'm usually severely sleep-deprived because most events go until morning.

I listen to all genres of music, but my favorite is house.

Over the years, the relationships I've built with people I met through music have endured, some for 10 or even 20 years.
I believe I've had many wonderful encounters through music.

It makes me very proud to see that some of the people I met back then are still active today.

The planning for this event began about two months ago.
We decided on things like the flyer design and the overall concept.
It was enjoyable to make these decisions together in a homemade fashion, alongside our regular work.
A friend's office was transformed into a DJ booth, creating a club-like atmosphere.
It was a very exciting two months.

Finally, I am deeply grateful to everyone who attended this event.
