Berluti's Vision of Ultimate Timelessness
Berluti, known for its runway collections, is not merely a fashion brand. It is firmly rooted in the tradition of crafting fine clothing and footwear, subtly infusing contemporary sensibilities into its designs. For Autumn/Winter 2014, this philosophy translates into a collection of pieces that are both basic and exude a refined elegance.
The Theme for Autumn/Winter 2014: "Modenity and Quality"
This season's collection draws inspiration from the sharp modernity of Scandinavian architecture's organic forms and the warmth of its materials. This imagery is reflected in bold shapes and functional details, with exceptional materials and craftsmanship. Some materials, for instance, are meticulously crafted by artisans in the atelier over approximately 70 hours.
Furthermore, starting this season, essential, timeless pieces for a gentleman's wardrobe are designated as "Essentials." Items such as three-piece suits and shearling blousons, which are both basic and modern, will be offered as permanent products.

Navy × Brown
A Modern Reinterpretation of a Classic
The "La Forestiere" jacket, originally designed based on a gamekeeper's jacket following the precise instructions of modernist architect Le Corbusier, was first created by the French bespoke house Arnis. Alessandro Sartori has now reinterpreted this masterpiece as a Berluti version. Crafted from water-repellent double-faced cashmere, it is lightweight, exceptionally warm, and finished with a slim silhouette.

Leather
Refined Military Style
This aviator-style shearling jacket is characterized by its intricate details, including deer leather accents, a detachable collar, and antique-finished metal hardware. The length is characteristically short for Berluti, offering a design that blends luxury with sporty and urban elements. Introduced in the Autumn/Winter 2014 collection, it quickly became a staple.
Sneakers
A New Essential: The Sneaker
The "Playtime" sneaker, with its captivating leather finish that plays with light and shadow, marks Berluti's debut in the sneaker category. It incorporates all the brand's iconic details, such as single-piece leather construction, hand stitching, and the signature Scritto script engraved on the tongue and outsole. Naturally, it is made from Venezia leather. Available in indigo denim, brown, and dark red, the colors can also be customized through patination.
Boots
Inspired by Ski Boots
Berluti first ventured into sports footwear in the 1920s, crafting ski boots for Rudolph Valentino and later for Greta Garbo. The "Alpino" boot is inspired by the model created for Greta Garbo. It features a robust form that securely envelops the foot, complemented by two straps that conceal the laces.
Brown Oxfords
A Masterpiece Refined for Today
The "Ultima" oxfords trace their roots to a model created by Olga Berluti, the fourth-generation head of the house, in 2001. Alessandro Sartori has since refined it, infusing it with a modern sensibility. A distinctive feature is the artisanal craftsmanship: instead of eyelets, leather loops are created to thread the laces through. This detail is evident in the hand-stitched knots on the upper. Additionally, the zigzag cut at the tip of the tongue adds an energetic and informal impression.
Bags
A Texture That Invites Touch
The "De Jour" tote, introduced in 2005, was popular as a lightweight and spacious travel bag. This season, a shearling version of the "De Jour" has been introduced. It combines a modern silhouette, reminiscent of the Scandinavian architecture that inspired this season's collection, with warm, inviting materials. Crafted from high-quality merino wool, its soft and rich texture is utterly irresistible.
