MARGARET HOWELL | Margaret Howell
Monotone Coordination for Early Summer Enjoyment
Styling Commentary by Keita Izuka
Margaret HowellKeita Izuka, a stylist, curated the looks for Margaret Howell's early to mid-summer collection. "It's a brand with an enduring sense of refinement that complements one's lifestyle," he says. "The way it looks different on each person is also a major appeal."

A Poised and Present Male Image
Margaret Howell consistently offers a timeless standard, a well-established brand identity, yet it also captures the contemporary mood. I always appreciate the "poised and present male image" it projects.
The brand's unwavering consistency is its greatest strength. It has a timeless quality, like a protagonist in a novel. The appeal lies in its ability to convey a sense of deep understanding and comfort, rather than overt display, making the clothes feel like a natural extension of the wearer.
When putting together this season's looks, I felt the volume of the silhouettes in the tops and shorts. I've been enjoying a looser, more relaxed fit recently, so it perfectly matched my mood and made styling a pleasure.
Monotone and Color Coordination
Previously, Margaret Howell evoked an image of urban sophistication with earth tones like navy, beige, mustard, and brown. This season, however, the collection introduces a proposal for wearing linen in monotone.
For instance, a combination of a shirt and shorts, but with a long-sleeved shirt and black bottoms. It's a proposal for a sophisticated, adult monotone style that leans more urban and less casual.
