A New Season for Gucci Childrenswear Begins

GUCCI Children's Line: New Season Arrives


GUCCI continues to inherit the artisan culture cultivated in Florence for so long, presenting it in a more captivating form through a contemporary approach. This philosophy is not only reflected in its iconic Horsebit loafers and luggage. The GUCCI Children's Collection, a line focused on children and championed by Creative Director Frida Giannini, is another prime example. The 2012S/S season for this collection is about to launch.

Captivating for Kids and Adults Alike: Wardrobe for Little Adventurers



Walking through the city streets, one increasingly notices stylish children. They effortlessly sport well-tailored button-down shirts, vintage-wash denim, and GUCCI Horsebit loafers. It seems many children have embraced fashion with a sophistication that rivals adults.



Their parents' generation largely came of age during the late 1980s and 1990s, a period of intense fashion exploration. Consequently, they possess a particularly strong appreciation for fashion and quality. It's likely that more fathers and mothers wish for their beloved children to experience the joy of fashion in the same way they do.

GUCCI launched this line in November 2010. Much like the Horsebit loafers and luggage, the Children's Collection is crafted with passion and a modern sensibility. It might be more accurate to say that adults are captivated by its charm, rather than children being drawn to it. Regardless, it undoubtedly offers a wardrobe that will make beloved children even cooler and more charming.


The 2012S/S season of the GUCCI Children's Collection is now launching. In addition to GUCCI's Ginza, Aoyama, Osaka, and Nagoya flagship stores, the collection will also be available at a special corner on the 6th floor of Isetan Shinjuku, opening on Wednesday, March 7th.


This Season's Theme: Little Traveler





For boys, the collection features two series: marine and safari, including jaunty pea coats with gold buttons and cotton poplin Bermuda shorts.


For girls, the collection is based on three styles: marine, safari, and a colorful garden style. Highlights include dresses with a web stripe ribbon print, mini skirts adorned with a new color combination of the web stripe on straw, and floral motif dresses made from silk organza.


A full lineup of charming and chic wear, shoes, and accessories awaits, designed to adorn the lifestyles of little dreamers and adventurers.

Furthermore, starting this season, the size range has been significantly expanded to cater to newborns and babies (0-36 months) as well as juniors (4-12 years old). Items that were previously out of reach due to being too large or too small can now be chosen with confidence.


The GUCCI Children's Collection truly captivates both children and adults. For the holiday weekend in the second week of March when the collection becomes available, why not make plans for a "family outing to GUCCI"? However, parents, please remember that it is, after all, for the children!
