TOUMEI

Beautiful individuality born from free-blown glass

The "ear-handled glass" was commissioned by the Osaka-based interior shop "dieci" from the glassware brand "TOUMEI," which is based in Munakata City, Fukuoka Prefecture. Released in 2017, this popular item has been restocked with a fresh look.

Both artists, Boku Takahashi and Tomoko Wada, have garnered a significant following. "TOUMEI" is the glassware brand they launched together in 2016. They handcraft everyday vases, glasses, and lighting at their studio in Munakata City, Fukuoka Prefecture.
The "ear-handled glass," ordered by the interior shop "dieci," features a beautiful, floating-feeling colored handle and a rounded form. The colored glass is made using the free-blowing technique, with a separate furnace used for each color.
While recommended as a glass, it can also be used as an objet d'art or a vase. It brings the beauty of glass into everyday life. Each piece has individual variations, a hallmark of handmade items.
