First Eyewear Collection Features 100 Items

Kartell is a leading Italian interior brand renowned for its innovative designs and ideas using plastic materials in furniture.
The 100 eyewear items launched this time are a collection that fully embodies Kartell's essence, utilizing elements and materials derived from the brand's industrial design concept. They are presented in two lines: the main collection and the design collection.
Many of the collection's frames are made from bio-acetate, in line with the "Kartell Loves the Planet" manifesto, making them environmentally conscious products with over 90% biodegradability.
The main collection, "Borderino," is characterized by simple expressions of all shapes and a unique style created by the contrast between transparency and opacity.
"LAMINA" combines two harmonious, distinct silhouettes, utilizing overlapping effects to create varying sizes and color tones depending on the angle of light. The shapes and thicknesses are inspired by Kartell's iconic products.
"LAMINA ShowPiece" expresses various transparent color tones through a play of overlaps and shapes.
The designers invited for the design collection are Rodolfo Dordoni, Ferruccio Laviani, Piero Lissoni, and Fabio Novembre.
The collection designed by Ferruccio Laviani is simple, extremely lightweight, and timeless, with a refined, soft-touch finish achieved through injection molding. Piero Lissoni's Eyeline collection features colorful, lightweight frames that trace the contours of the eyes.

Fabio Novembre combines frames and lenses in tone-on-tone combinations, creating distinctive eyewear that effectively uses color. Rodolfo Dordoni designed both men's and women's eyeglass collections. The rounded, supple forms are designed to complement facial lines through contrasting materials and colors.
