Introducing Six Products Featuring the Beauty of Layered Plywood 'Paper Wood'

HIGHTIDE, known for its stationery and miscellaneous goods that embody functionality in clear designs, and NEW EDITION FURNITURE, which operates with a focus on custom furniture and interior work from the perspective of "editing furniture." A collaboration between the two began in 2023.

The collaborative series "HIGHTIDE × NEW EDITION FURNITURE" is based on the concept of "simple design + a touch of interior accent." It proposes timeless design and user-friendliness for all lifestyles.

For this first release, they used "Paper Wood," a layered plywood made by bonding domestic linden plywood and colored paper one by one. Utilizing its beautiful edges, they created a book stand, desk mirror, photo stand, and sneaker box.

Particularly noteworthy is the "Sneaker Box," sold exclusively at HIGHTIDE's directly managed stores. Recreated in Paper Wood with the meticulous craftsmanship of artisans, it transforms a common paper item. Its use is left to the user, allowing it to function as a storage box or for the lid and base to be used separately. We look forward to future collaborations that leverage both the unique perspective of a stationery and miscellaneous goods maker and the technical expertise of a furniture brand.
