The Wrap, a reusable silicone wrap, has launched on the crowdfunding site Makuake. Sales have begun.

The Wrap was developed by a team based in Melbourne, Australia, with a desire to change the environmental impact of kitchen plastics.

Beyond its use as a standard wrap, its versatility is a key appeal. The Wrap boasts high heat and durability, allowing one sheet to function as regular wrap, aluminum foil, and parchment paper.

While standard plastic wrap has a heat resistance of 140°C, The Wrap can withstand up to 235°C, making it oven-safe. Its cold resistance is -40°C, allowing for storage in the freezer and direct use in microwaves or ovens, unlocking limitless possibilities depending on your creativity.

It also has high elasticity; the standard 40x30cm wrap can stretch up to three times its size. By freely adjusting its dimensions, it can accommodate a wide variety of items.

Cleaning is also remarkably simple. Its water-repellent surface allows for easy removal of dirt with a quick rinse, and it is also dishwasher safe. Manufacturer tests have confirmed no degradation across washing cycles, oven use, or microwave heating times, indicating long-term usability for many years.
