New colors arrive for an object designed by Konstantin Grcic in 2016 | Magis

Magis

Limited to 50 pieces in Japan. A gift for those embarking on a new chapter.

Meaning “more” in Latin, Magis has carved its name into the history of product design while exploring innovative manufacturing techniques. In 2016, the object “Ettore,” designed by Konstantin Grcic, celebrated its 40th anniversary with the addition of a new snow white color.

Magis uses the “mule,” a hybrid of a donkey and a horse, as its brand icon. The mule’s sturdy legs, longevity, and diligent work ethic are said to mirror the brand’s bold pursuit of new designs. In 2016, German designer Konstantin Grcic created the object “Ettore,” inspired by the mule. Made of cast iron, it is substantial in weight and serves not only as an object but also as a bookend or doorstop, proving useful in homes and offices alike.
Now, a new snow white color has been introduced. The surface is finished with a polyester powder coating, making it a perfect fit for holiday decorations or welcoming the new year at your entrance. Its appeal as a gift, rooted in its origins, is well-established. Available for purchase at the Magis Tokyo Showroom and on the EC site.
