2023 marks the 100th anniversary of the Great Kanto Earthquake. Recently, the formation of "linear rainbands" has caused widespread damage from flooding and landslides, heightening disaster preparedness awareness. Today, we introduce "IF," a brand of storage boxes for disaster preparedness supplies that blend seamlessly with interior design.

Launched in 2022, "IF" is a brand of storage boxes for disaster preparedness supplies. They offer two types, "WALL" designed to be placed along walls and "FLOOR" for floor placement, in three sizes each. Both feature a simple design that doesn't disrupt the space.

The preparedness items are designed with home sheltering in mind, a concept that has gained attention since the COVID-19 pandemic. In collaboration with disaster preparedness producer Hirokazu Nagata, essential items for when lifelines are cut—such as headlamps, portable toilets, and oral hygiene products—are selected and housed in simple boxes (made of wood or steel).

The "WALL" M size can neatly store supplies for two people, and the L size for four. The "FLOOR" can hold approximately two people's worth of smaller supplies, excluding water and portable toilets.
