This spring, they unveil a collection of leather items that, while eschewing superfluous ornamentation, radiate a sophisticated design sensibility.

The new offerings from Craft Design Technology are the epitome of minimalist leather goods, conceived by a former prosthetist. The designs are by Masahiro Someya, who develops his own brand under the concept of 'a layering of ingenuity that creates the ordinary.' Through profound insight and a high level of design skill, he meticulously crafts new staples without adding anything extraneous.

The main body is crafted from cowhide, available in two colors: a matte black with a supple yet smooth texture, and a brown with a nuanced, uneven dye. The carefully finished edges are hand-painted by artisans in the traditional Japanese color 'Kuro-midori' (black-green), providing a sharp contrast to the main body color and refining the overall impression. The logo is subtly blind-stamped onto the body, revealing the solid craftsmanship of Japanese artisans and the philosophy of Craft Design Technology in these very details.
