Founded in 1775 under the protection of the Danish Royal Court, Royal Copenhagen is now renowned as Denmark's premier porcelain brand. The company, with its deep ties to the monarchy, has released commemorative items to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the accession of Her Majesty Queen Margrethe II of Denmark on January 14, 2022.

The commemorative items released this time are a bonbonnière and a figurine. The bonbonnière, known in European countries as a vessel for confectionery, also serves as a gift for celebratory occasions.

The lid of this piece features an embossed daisy, a beloved nickname for Her Majesty. The beautiful form of white porcelain is adorned with a charming and elegant floral motif. It is suitable not only for holding sweets but also for storing jewelry or mementos.

The figurine depicts a Royal Danish Guard, the soldiers who stand watch in front of Amalienborg Palace, Her Majesty's residence. Intricate details are faithfully reproduced, such as the monogram 'M' (Her Majesty's initial) on the bag they carry, signifying their role as the Queen's Guard. The figurine is exclusively available at the Royal Copenhagen flagship store and official online shop.
