Captivating forms and the beauty of brass. The warmth of true craft.

Lue, a brass brand known for its sculptural beauty and user-friendliness, has designed a pizza scoop for "monk," a Kyoto restaurant celebrated for its wood-fired pizzas and cuisine. A fair for "monk" will be held at Daikanyama T-Site from October 4th, with sales of this product also planned during the event.

Brass, composed of 65% copper and 35% zinc, offers a pleasant hardness and is easy to work with. Lue, which develops products both domestically and internationally, leverages these characteristics to design and manufacture household goods. Their cutlery, in particular, is popular and has garnered many fans over time.
The pizza scoop, conceived for the Kyoto restaurant "monk," features a handle that highlights its handcrafted nature and a comfortable size. Its easy-to-use design makes it suitable not only for pizza but also for cakes.
With use, it will undoubtedly develop a rich, deep patina. Yoshihiro Imai, the owner-chef of "monk," has garnered international attention for his refined taste, including the publication of a cookbook by the British publisher PHAIDON last April. A "monk" fair is scheduled at Daikanyama T-Site from October 4th. The pizza scoop will be available for purchase during this period, so why not consider picking one up alongside the book?
