Crafted with a three-layer structure, sandwiching soft glass between hard glass, and a unique manufacturing process, each "SECCA" paperweight is handmade. Created by Kosei Aoki, who leads the glass studio "Nama," the inner soft glass gradually cracks over approximately three years due to differences in shrinkage rates. Its beautiful form appears the same as yesterday, yet is never truly identical. The shape, weight, the way air bubbles are trapped, and the cracking of the inner glass all differ, a testament to its handmade nature. It is a joy to watch it change over time.
