Known for its writing instruments, including fountain pens, Montblanc began producing leather goods in 1926. Today, its own workshop, "Pelletteria," in Florence, Italy—a mecca for leather—crafts not only traditional leather but also proprietary materials.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 smartphone, released in April, is complemented by covers from Montblanc. These are offered in two distinct materials: the innovative "Extreme Leather," unveiled last autumn, and the classical, elegant "Soft Grain Leather."

Extreme Leather, with its superior durability and unique carbon pattern, offers a modern, rugged impression. Soft Grain Leather, conversely, provides a sensual touch and understated elegance. Both are materials actually used in Montblanc's bags and small leather goods.
