A "Back Scratcher" Born from Exquisite Craftsmanship

CEMENT PRODUCE DESIGN, a creative agency based in Osaka known for its multifaceted activities, has taken on a new challenge: a modern "back scratcher" designed for contemporary lifestyles. Through a unique and innovative approach, combined with the technical prowess of its production partners, they have achieved an "elegant scratching sensation."

Toyama's Metal Casting x Aichi's Jewelry Craft

Everyone has experienced that maddening itch on their back. To solve this problem, and to create something compatible with modern lifestyles, CEMENT PRODUCE DESIGN began developing a "back scratcher." By blending aluminum, a key industry in Toyama, with the metalworking traditions of Takaoka, they have created a stylish back scratcher – the "MAGONOTTE."

Production was handled by Takada Manufacturing in Toyama Prefecture and PROOF OF GUILD in Aichi Prefecture. Their respective expertise in metal casting and jewelry making have collaborated beautifully to produce the high-purity cast aluminum and polished flamingo and horse forms. The design possesses the delicate aesthetic of a maison brand, yet also evokes the spirit of a rural artisan. The lightness inherent to aluminum and its comfortable feel in use are also highly commendable.

The release is scheduled for early April. It will be available at "Koto Mono Michi at TOKYO," CEMENT PRODUCE DESIGN's online shop, and select interior design stores nationwide. The elegant scratching sensation is sure to become addictive. We also recommend displaying it as an interior decor piece.
