Towels to Enjoy Like Wine: "COTTON NOUVEAU 2015" Released
Renowned as a total organic textile company that creates textiles woven with organic cotton and wind power, "IKEUCHI ORGANIC" has announced the release of "COTTON NOUVEAU 2015," a collection that allows you to enjoy the nuances of cotton. Produced in Imabari, Ehime, their towels meet the world's highest safety standards, safe enough for a baby to put in its mouth, and are manufactured with minimal environmental impact using 100% wind power. The new collection is available in all colors: White, Pink, Blue, Green, and Brown.

A Commitment to "True Cotton = Organic Cotton"
Cotton is one of the most pesticide-intensive crops globally. IKEUCHI ORGANIC is deeply committed to organic cotton, ensuring it is grown for at least three years without pesticides or chemical fertilizers, is non-GMO, and is Fair Trade. Operating under the principle that "we humans are part of nature," the company actively promotes the cultivation of organic cotton.
In 2011-2012, out of a total global cotton production of 27.1 million tons, organic cotton, produced in 18 countries including India, Turkey, China, Tanzania, and the US, accounted for only 138,000 tons, a mere 0.5 percent.
The COTTON NOUVEAU Project Enters Its Fifth Year
IKEUCHI ORGANIC launched the "COTTON NOUVEAU Project" in 2011. This year marks a new initiative: carbon offsetting for the popular Cotton Nouveau collection, which allows consumers to "enjoy the differences in cotton each year, much like wine." For each Cotton Nouveau box set produced, 19kg of CO2 is emitted. To offset this, the company purchases carbon credits for the Seiyo City Forest Management and Utilization Project in Seiyo City, Ehime (9 tons), and the Matsuyama Gintengai First Shopping Street LED Conversion Project in Matsuyama City, Ehime (10 tons).
The "COTTON NOUVEAU 2015" collection was released in all colors on February 20th, featuring 100% organic cotton bath towels, face towels, wash towels, gauze baby blankets, and box sets (bath towel, face towel, wash towel) in White, Pink, Blue, Green, and Brown.
Bed Linen Series Promising Comfortable and High-Quality Sleep
Furthermore, the highly anticipated bed linen collection, the "Organic I Series," is now available in two lines, allowing you to choose your preferred texture. Pre-orders are currently being accepted at directly managed stores and the official online shop.
The "Organic I 240" features a beautiful twill weave made from lustrous, pure white organic cotton. Its supple texture drapes perfectly for bedding, resists wrinkling, and becomes even softer with use.
Made from 100% organic cotton (twill), the collection includes flat sheets (king, queen, double, single), pillowcases, and cushion covers, launching on April 1st (Wednesday).
The "Organic I 440" uses a gauze fabric that feels wonderfully light and airy on the skin. While each layer is breathable, four layers create a surprisingly plush and soft texture. This gauze is set to become a year-round essential for your bedding. Made from 100% organic cotton (four-layer gauze), the collection includes flat sheets (king, queen, double, single), pillowcases, and cushion covers. White versions will be available from April 1st (Wednesday), and Grey from April 13th (Monday).
IKEUCHI ORGANIC aims to be a carbon-neutral company with zero CO2 emissions. Their future endeavors are certainly worth watching.
