A Magical Light That Unfolds When You Open the Book

The "Lumiosf" book-shaped LED light features a "wooden cover" with delicate laser cutting and a high-performance LED. It is a rechargeable portable lamp with a shade made of durable Tyvek. When opened, the light softly spreads like magic, revealing sophisticated technology hidden within its seemingly simple design.

It can be unfolded into various shapes and opens up to 360 degrees. Its versatility, with multiple ways to use it via included parts or built-in magnets, is a key attraction. The joy of unfolding it to enjoy a broad light, carrying it like a book when closed, and its compact size for bookshelf storage are also contributing factors to its popularity.

An Opportunity to Engage with Max Gunawan's Design Philosophy

Max Gunawan, the developer, was born in Jakarta and resides in San Francisco. After a decade as an architect, he completed the "Lumiosf." In 2013, he was recognized by Entrepreneur magazine in the US as one of the "Top 10 Most Innovative Crowdfunded Companies."

His design approach focuses on minimal, refined lines and maximizing the potential of small spaces. He believes that products should not only be beautiful and functional but also simple and intuitive to use.
