Introducing the Latest Knife Series: ZWILLING Arc
It has been 41 years since ZWILLING J.A. HENCKELS, the venerable German knife brand known for its distinctive twin logo that guarantees "quality," first arrived in Japan. Five knives from the new ZWILLING Arc series have been launched, alongside the release of "The ZWILLING Reader," a special edition from mono commemorating the brand's 40th anniversary in Japan.

The ZWILLING Arc: Perfectly Balanced Knives with Counterbalance
Solingen, Germany, is a renowned center for blade craftsmanship. ZWILLING J.A. Henckels was born here and has been crafting knives for over 280 years. Similarly, in Seki City, Gifu Prefecture, another world-renowned hub for blade production, numerous ZWILLING knives are manufactured.
The newly released ZWILLING Arc series features an evolved ergonomic, arched handle, characteristic of ZWILLING's design. The blade is crafted from FC61, a new material boasting hardness second only to MC66 in the ZWILLING lineup, offering an upgraded knife experience with the sharpness of a master's grind and enduring hardness.
The collection includes five types of knives—petty, chef's, and Santoku—each meticulously designed with a superior balance between blade and handle, making them feel lighter than their actual weight. Details such as smoothly polished bolsters further enhance their appeal.
Limited Edition: 240 Units Nationwide of the "TWIN Cermax Limited Edition Chef's Knife 200mm"
Last year, the TWIN Cermax Limited Edition was released to commemorate both the 40th anniversary of ZWILLING J.A. Henckels Japan and the 10th anniversary of the TWIN Cermax series, ZWILLING's pinnacle of knife craftsmanship, and it was met with great acclaim. Now, the second installment in this series, the chef's knife "TWIN Cermax Limited Edition chef’s Knife 200mm," is also available in a limited run of 240 units nationwide (store-exclusive).
The blade features an artistic, deep black "Black Flower Damascus pattern" created from 133 layers. The handle is made of Micarta, boasting a meticulously crafted, delicate curve that only one master artisan from ZWILLING's Seki factory can produce, ensuring exceptional comfort. The blade is finished with a "Ultimate Master's Grind," pursued by only two master craftspeople with the highest polishing skills, achieving unparalleled sharpness.
Developed with the collective expertise of ZWILLING J.A. Henckels Japan's knife factory in Seki City, Gifu Prefecture, this knife is a testament to ZWILLING's highest standards of sharpness, elegance, and power. It is a masterpiece worthy of attention.
