An Exhibition Focusing on Designers and Their Inspirations

The 'Material and Inspiration' exhibition centers on 'Officina,' the latest work by French design duo Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec, making its Japan debut. The exhibition delves into the thought processes and creative journeys behind a range of outstanding designs. The venue's layout, designed by Nendo's Noriaki Fujiwara, who is also involved in global projects, is another highlight.

The new 'Officina' table is characterized by its frame, crafted through forged wrought iron. This material, traditionally used for European fences and the like, possesses a rich texture with visible hammer marks from its forging process, lending it a unique charm not often found in contemporary furniture.

A few tables were unveiled this year, with plans for new items such as chairs in the future.
