A Stylish Brand Rooted in Muted Tones

MUNGO & MAUD was founded in 2005 by Michael Sacker, who comes from a family of founders of the major UK supermarket Marks & Spencer, and his wife, Nicola. The brand's philosophy is to "create stylish, well-designed items for an urban lifestyle." Characterized by designs that are creative yet simple, with a palette of muted colors, their products quickly became a sensation in their home country. These include leads and collars finished with hand-stitching on premium leather, cashmere and merino wool apparel, and cotton beds.


This luxury brand for dogs and cats began with an online store. The following year, they opened a flagship store in London's upscale shopping district, Belgravia, and in 2008, they expanded into the luxury department store Harrods. Since then, their products have been featured in prestigious department stores and select shops worldwide, including Barneys New York, Lane Crawford in China, Globus in Switzerland, and The Conran Shop in London and Paris.

They have also collaborated with Lyn Harris, the perfumer behind Miller Harris, and set up a pop-up space within Merci in Paris during Paris Fashion Week, continuing their ascent and gaining support from dog and cat lovers around the globe.


Prices range from ¥30,000 for a cotton dog bed with a quilted cushion base, ¥11,000 for food bowls, ¥11,000 for collars made of cotton canvas with suede accents, and ¥20,000 for cotton stripe leads with calf leather trim (all prices exclude tax).
