“WATERCOLOR by Serena Mitnik-Miller & GENERAL STORE” Exhibition Opens

Serena Mitnik-Miller, an artist and designer based in California, also runs “GENERAL STORE” in San Francisco and Venice Beach. Her new exhibition is being held at the gallery space “CURATOR’S CUBE” in Toranomon.

A “GENERAL STORE” Pop-Up Also Appears

Serena Mitnik-Miller hails from California’s surf community. While working as a painter, photographer, and designer, she opened “GENERAL STORE” in San Francisco in 2010 with her partner, architect Mason St. Peter. A second store opened in Venice Beach in 2012.

The store displays items that meet her and her community’s aesthetic sensibilities—furniture, clothing, tools, plants, books, jewelry, cards, and more—arranged with a three-dimensional curation.

Exhibition featuring a pop-up GENERAL STORE

The exhibition, titled “WATERCOLOR by Serena Mitnik-Miller & GENERAL STORE,” will feature her latest abstract watercolors, characterized by layered lines and repeating shapes, alongside a pop-up store selling items selected by Serena from “GENERAL STORE.”
