A clock more like furniture than an appliance

A wall clock that is not overly assertive in its size within a space, yet features large numerals to make time recognition easier.Regarding "Clock A / Clock B," which he designed himself, Kakuda says, "The arrangement of large numerals on the dial was a task that required patience and intuition to achieve naturalness."

He continues, "I adjusted the materials and size to fit contemporary interiors, taking clocks that historically served the function of telling time in places like schools and factories. It's a clock more like furniture than an appliance."

"This is a wall clock that pursues not only the active reading of time but also the spontaneous feeling of it as its function. It's not quite Bruce Lee's 'Don’t think, feel,' but perhaps more like 'Don’t read, feel.' (laughs) I would be delighted if it could be used not only in Japanese homes with their relatively low ceilings but also in public spaces such as restaurants, hotels, and schools."
