The Inaugural Exhibition: A Showcase of Original Brooches

Omotesando Hills has a history of hosting diverse art events since its opening. To bring the latest in art and culture closer to the public, they have created "OMOTESANDO HILLS POCKET," a compact space located in the central open area on the B3 level of the main building.

The basic spatial design and logo for the venue were created by "PHAMILY," a unit led by the emerging architect Kei Murayama, who has extensive experience in curating exhibitions for renowned artists. This dynamic group is active not only in spatial design but also in product and graphic design, and recently, wedding production.

The first exhibition features "The Brooch Exhibition: Awkward Gifts for Men, Less So for Children," showcasing works by Yasuko Mitsuura, who has been crafting for 34 years. Her creations, surpassing hobbyist quality with unparalleled originality, have led to the publication of two craft books. This exhibition will display over 100 pieces, including new works, with five pieces available for purchase. During the exhibition, there will be merchandise sales by "Bussu!! Craft Club," a group of craft enthusiasts surrounding Mitsuura, and craft workshops led by Mitsuura herself.
